Fashion Cities

There are loads of fashion influential towns and cities around the world but to me there are top 5 ones that I think you all need to know about. 1. Los Angeles, California: The large city maintains fashion places where locals small boutiques specializing in bargain buys or upscale couture. The sunshine also lends to it's gorgeous style. 2. New York City, New York: Not only is New York a Fashion Capital but it's the city that began the 'Fashion Week' tradition in 1943. It's shopping heaven with Fifth Avenue for luxury, the Lower East Side for small, unique boutiques and Brooklyn for affordable vintage. 3. Rome, Italy: Rome's dramatic architecture ranges from medieval to baroque and the city's cinematic history all continue to influence its fashion. 4. Paris, France: One of many things about women in Paris is how they seem to look so good without make-up! It's effortless styling that's unique to the Paris style! Fashion Week here is twice a year and is one of the big city for fashion. 5. London, England: Everywhere you go in London, it's like a fashion show on the streets! London has created some of the major fashion gurus: Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Gareth Pugh and Christopher Kane.

A little bit Older, A little bit Wiser

As we age, our fashion sense does not need to age with us. All you need to worry about is your attitude and what clothes make you feel at your happiness, in other words..Body Confident! Just because you have aged doesn't mean you have to start dressing like every other aged women that you come across. Go with whatever works for you and looks good on you. I love to see ladies who have a classy style with an added bit of their own personality, from hats to scarfs and all the jewellery in between. It is simply all about feeling confident and showing that confidence to everyone in your life. One of the major problems with women and clothing is many of us cannot afford the designer look when we have to use a high street budget. I hope that some or most of these useful tips will help you complete YOUR look on YOUR budget. Customisation - the key is in the detail. Add as much detail as you would like. The more the better! Keep it simple and sophisticated and combine basic accessories with basic pieces and basic colours. Some of the best shops that you will find your designer clothing without having to pay the designer price tag include..Primark, Topshop, Zara, Forever 21, Maxxm, New Look, H&M, Uniqlo, River Island and Dorothy Perkins. So next time you go shopping don't feel like you can't find the clothes you want and at the price you want. Take a closer look at the shops because you know there are bargains out there waiting for you! :)

Trends and Beyond

It’s time to start thinking Spring and introducing some colour, texture and bold prints into that wardrobe of yours. Forget the Winter weather outside and find out what is on trend this upcoming season. It is obvious that pink seems to be the colour of now. From bold, pastel or powder shades this colour has crept its way into our shops and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. So what better time to rock this feminine shade than Spring?!. It has been seen coming down the catwalk from Simone Rocha to Temperley London. It would be an understatement to say this colour hasn’t caused a whirlwind in our fashion world. Alongside introducing the 'Pink' colour we are also welcoming in some skirts for Spring. I have fallen in love with the silhouette of a small waist and a beautiful full flowing skirt. There are skirts that are pleated, textured and embossed, so you are spoilt for choice. So stock on your Spring Season must-haves and have a blast this Spring time no matter where you are! :) x

That Little Black Dress

Every girls wardrobe aches for a little black dress, they starve without one. They rescue us from last minute dinners, hard-to-dress-for dates and every girls Friday night dress meltdown. They can be worn smart for work, classy for dates or can be glammed up for those party animals. From the big bummed pear shaped women to the curvy hour glass ladies, black dresses can be worn with confidence and style no matter what your shape. Our famous black dresses originated in Spain where they were worn by women who were mourning during the First World War. The LBD (Little Black Dress) then came to America when Coco Chanel posted a picture of a black dress in the American Vogue. From then on the little black dress became a timeless classic.
